Job summary

Catholic Health’s Good Samaritan University Hospital on Long Island seeks a Radiology/Cardiovascular Technician to support cardiac catheterization procedures, assist physicians, and monitor patient positions. You will work with a dedicated team in a high-volume teaching hospital focused on quality care and patient safety.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, graduation from an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory care program, and RCVT or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory care program.
• RCVT certification or equivalent preferred, registry eligible acceptable.
• BLS/AED/ACLS training required and accepted from only two organizations: American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Setting up the patient for cardiac catheterization and monitoring the patient during the procedure.
• Assisting the physician during the exam, and monitor positions.
• Entering patient information into the GEMNET and MACLAB computer systems.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory care program

RCVT certification or equivalent
