The Role You’ll Contribute:

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs adult and geriatric echocardiography, assists physicians with transthoracic and stress echocardiography, and conducts vascular ultrasound including venous Doppler and arterial segmental exams. Adheres to AdventHealth's compliance, rules, regulations, and standards of accrediting bodies.

The Value You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Accesses patient information relevant to the exam for appropriateness, patient identity confirmation, report correlation, and symptom assessment.
• Performs cardiac studies (echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, dobutamine echo).
• Performs vascular studies (arterial, venous, carotid, renal artery, abdominal aorta, and ABI).
• Prepares preliminary reports and communicates abnormal findings to physicians.
• Operates and calibrates equipment safely and efficiently, reports malfunctions or shortages.

Qualifications:

The expertise and experience needed to succeed:

• Associate degree or certification in Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound Technology, Respiratory Care, Nursing, Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required).
• At least 1 year of experience (Required).
• Experience in echocardiography and/or vascular technology (Required).
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required).
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (Required).
• CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification (Required).
