Paying $30.00 per hour, the position requires a high school diploma, completion of a CV tech program, and pending licensure. Scheduling is day shift at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Graduated from an accredited cardiovascular technology program within 6 months.
• License or certification pending; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians and licensed staff during cardiac catheterizations.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, skin prep and equipment setup.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs under supervision.
• Operate cath lab equipment under guidance (hemodynamics, contrast, injectors).
• Assist with post-procedure care and room turnover.
• Follow hospital safety policies and radiation safety guidelines.

Job overview:

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented technician trainee to join our cardiovascular team, This entry-level position is designed for candidates who are in training for cardiovascular technician and are actively pursuing licensure or certification, The technician will work under the direct supervision of licensed physicians and certified Cath Lab Tech staff to support Diagnostic and Interventional cardiovascular procedures. This position requires direct supervision by a licensed Cath lab technologist or registered nurse until state licensure or certification requirements are met. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of required licensure within the designated timeframe.

Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
