UPMC is hiring a Full-time Flex Cardiovascular Technician to support Hanover.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday to support the hours of operation, on-call weekend rotation.

Purpose:
Working under the supervision of the cardiovascular manager, performs a wide variety of noninvasive cardiac studies. This includes but not limited to patient preparation, assistance during stress testing, and preparing and communicating all pertinent information related to testing procedure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform non-invasive cardiac studies including nuclear stress test (exercise and pharmacological), Stress echocardiograms (exercise and pharmacological, treadmill stress tests, Electrocardiograms (EKGs) and Holter Monitoring according to protocol.
- Proficiency in stress and resting EKG placement, heart rate and blood pressure monitoring, and EKG interpretation.
- Knowledge in testing indications, contraindications, and test termination criteria for the testing being performed.
- Knowledge in protocols/guidelines of diagnostic tests for inpatients and outpatients.
- Utilize all computer systems (Epic, Muse) for stress testing and resting EKGs.
- Understand test studies and have knowledge to immediately report significant/critical findings to physician, APP, exercise physiologist, or nurse on staff.
- Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors? Performs other duties as assigned.
