Overview:

The Cardiovascular Tech is responsible for performing EKGs, applying and processing cardiac monitors, and handling general office duties. Primary responsibilities include setting up and maintaining EKG equipment, performing cardiovascular tests, identifying heart rhythms, and effectively communicating with physicians and patients.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; basic computer knowledge.
  • Preferred Experience: One year of experience or previous on-the-job training or training through an Allied Health program.
  • Preferred Certifications: CCT or CRAT through CCI or CET through American Allied Health.
  • Preferred Other: Additional languages are a plus.
