Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. You will assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, prepare patients, and operate advanced cath lab equipment. A strong emphasis on patient safety and compassionate care is required.

Qualified candidates have RCIS, ACLS, and BCLS certifications, plus at least 1 year of cath lab experience. A certificate is also noted in the qualifications. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• RCIS certification required for this role.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year experience in cardiovascular cath lab is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements).
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment to deliver safe treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion.
• Maintain a sterile environment and advocate for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• Certificate
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
