Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to support cath lab procedures and EP workflows. The role requires performing technical procedures with high-quality patient care and assisting cardiologists as needed.

The candidate must have formal training in invasive cardiovascular technology, an associate's degree, and at least two years of relevant experience, plus BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of formal invasive cardiovascular technology program.
• Associate's Degree.
• 2 Years experience as an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist and electrophysiology.
• Must have experience with EP, ablation, and transseptal procedure preparation including equipment, supplies.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED

Responsabilités

• Ability to document in MAC Lab Event Log to include correct patient identification.

Hours: Shift Start Time: 7 AM Shift End Time: 5:30 PM AWS Hours Requirement: 10/40 - 10 Hour Shift Additional Shift Information: Weekend Requirements: No Weekends On-Call Required: No Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $51.310 - $66.210 - $74.150 This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU-UHW. As part of the terms of employment, employees in this role are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and remain a member (e.g. dues paying, fee paying, religious exception contributor) for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement. This position was originally posted to ratified SEIU members from 10/2/26 – 10/9/26. The position is now available to be filled by internal candidates that are not members of the ratified Bargaining Unit or External candidates to Sharp.

What You Will Do

To perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting cardiologists as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of formal invasive cardiovascular technology program
• Associate's Degree
• 2 Years experience as an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist and electrophysiology

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association -PREFERRED
• IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - Various-Employee provides certificate -PREFERRED
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International -PREFERRED
• Other Qualification Requirements NASPE certification preferred.

Essential Functions

• Assist with performing all Cath Lab procedures

• Provides pre and post procedure education to patient and family.
• Provides pre and post procedure education and reassurance to include but not limited to: What the procedure is, how long it is going to take, physician involved, contrast administration and mode of delivery, positioning, instructions related to procedure, the report, patient satisfaction form, etc.
• Interacts and communicates in a manner to reflect an understanding of the patient's age, culture, state of health, level of comprehension.
• Communicates and interacts with the patient's family in a way that is perceived positive and supportive while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Interact with nursing care departments to assure appropriate communication of patient care and status.
• Quality assurance Verifies patient identification and pregnancy status.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals.
• Use of abbreviations.
• Infection control/hand washing.
• Alarm audits.
• Patient identification.
• Follow appropriate radiation safety practices.
• Assists in procedures practicing sterile techniques.
