This position offers up to a $30,000 signing bonus for external candidates.

Summary: The primary responsibility is to set up and assist physicians in performing various interventional procedures, requiring sterile technique, medical device introduction into designated body areas, and operation of medical equipment, including CT equipment. This multimodality role demands knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy, its application in computed tomography, post-processing, drainages, biopsies, and peripheral vascular examinations, combined with ARRT(CI) certification for diagnostic angiographic procedures and complex interventions.

Experience: Minimum of one-year radiological technologist experience preferred. Prior experience in the Cardiovascular lab is favorable. CT/VI certification is preferred. This is a multimodality staff position with the ability to operate CT equipment; credentialing in VI IR/CT within 18 months is required if not already obtained.

Education: Certification from an approved Radiological Technology Program (two years).

Licenses: ARRT(R) Certification required; Advanced Certification ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Practices sterile technique and assists physicians with procedures, performing scrub duties according to care plans, policies, and procedures.
• Prepares sterile environment for interventional procedures.
• Positions patients for optimal imaging, minimizing radiation exposure and contrast volumes.
• Practices radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Operates sophisticated equipment such as CT scanners, fluoroscopy, biplane imaging, pressure injectors, and monitors.

Other Duties:

• Maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Provides patient care within the cardiovascular technologists' scope.
• Understands EPIC and PACS programs related to the cardiovascular lab.
• Coordinates procedures with physicians, imaging modalities, anesthesia, and supplies.
• Provides staff and patient education for post-procedural care.
• Maintains regulatory training per hospital policy.
