Dignity Health - Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, CA, seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform interventional imaging procedures in the cath lab, under physician guidance. You will prepare patients, operate advanced radiologic equipment, and contribute data for interpretation.

The role requires RCIS certification, knowledge of cardiac rhythms, and commitment to patient safety. BLS is required, ACLS preferred.

Formación

• RCIS certification required.
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics in a cath lab.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required by AHA; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform interventional diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures under physician guidance.
• Prepare patients and operate radiologic equipment with precision.
• Monitor equipment and patient status, ensuring safety and adherence to standards.
• Respond to rhythm changes and assist in emergencies in the cath lab.

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Recognizes emergency situations (including life threatening arrhythmias) and responds effectively and appropriately.
• Notifies the RN/Physician with rhythm changes in a proactive approach.
• Validates clinical alarms.
• Anticipates patient/unit needs during emergency/code situations without requiring direction. Safely operates and maintains unit equipment.

Job Requirements

Required

• Registerd Certified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• Cardiac catheterization laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythms, and cardiac hemodynamics.
• Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Preferred

• Radiology Technician with current x-ray and fluro license.
