Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to operate diagnostic imaging equipment, monitor hemodynamics, and support physicians in cath lab procedures. You will document cases and provide on-call coverage as part of a collaborative team.

The role involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, imaging acquisition, and patient care under physician guidance in a fast-paced environment. A CVT or RT program graduate is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist Program (CVT) or RT Program.
• Ability to assist physician as scrub for Diagnostic/Interventional procedures.
• Willingness to participate in on-call coverage for Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician as first Scrub Assist for Diagnostic and Interventional procedures.
• Acquire fluoroscopic and cine images; pan procedure table.
• Monitor and analyze hemodynamic and angiographic data.
• Monitor and record patient EKG and pressures; provide direct patient care.
• Alert physician to changes; assist with medication and response evaluation.
• Utilize Diagnostic/Interventional devices under physician direction.
• Assist with cases in the Operating Room.

Job Description:

$10,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible hires!! ** Bonus amounts for positions under 40 hours per week will be prorated. Per diem roles are not eligible. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment during the procedure. Performs function of scrub technologist to assist cardiologist and vascular surgeon. Performs hemodynamic monitoring. Documents procedure during case. Provides shared on call coverage for 24/7 Cath Lab.

Major Responsibilities:

• Mastery of Cardiovascular Tech Associate responsibilities.
• Assists physician as first Scrub Assist for all Diagnostic, Interventional, and other scheduled procedures, acquires fluoroscopic and cine images, pans procedure table.
• Adept in monitoring and analyzing all patient Hemodynamic and Angiographic data, calculates valve areas, shunts, etc. as directed by physician.
• Adept in monitoring and recording patient EKG, pressures, and other case specifics and provide direct patient care under general guidance.
• Alerts physician to changes in patient response, assists physician with medicating patient while evaluating response.
• Proficiently utilizes all Diagnostic and Interventional devices and equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with cases in the Operating Room.

• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist Program (CVT) or RT Program Pay Range: $47.00 - $69.84 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
• Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
• Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
