Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives in Omaha, NE is seeking a Circulating Registered Nurse for our CVOR to ensure safe, efficient patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures. You will prepare ORs, assist with patient positioning, monitor vitals, and maintain sterile fields.

New hires meeting eligibility can receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 in education assistance. The role collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the cardiovascular team to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS Certification required within 5 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with equipment and supplies.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control protocols.
• Anticipate team needs to ensure smooth workflow.
• Document all patient information and observations.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses.
• Use CVOR equipment and related technologies proficiently.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Circulating Registered Nurse in our CVOR, you will be a vital member of the surgical team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available and functioning correctly.
• Assisting the surgical team with patient preparation and positioning, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
• Meticulously monitoring the patient's vital signs throughout the procedure, promptly reporting any changes to the surgical team.
• Maintaining a sterile field and adhering to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of complications.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and providing proactive assistance to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Accurately and thoroughly documenting all relevant patient information, procedures, and observations.
• Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborating effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses.
• Demonstrating proficiency in the use of specialized CVOR equipment and technologies.

We are offering a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus and up to $10,000 in Education Assistance to new hires that meet eligibility requirements.
