Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing cardiac team and support overnight CVICU patients.

The role includes night-shift rounding, patient assessment, coordination with surgeons and ICU staff, and driving safe, 24/7 care for open-heart patients, with a preference for CVICU experience.

Qualifications

• CVICU experience in cardiac surgery is preferred.
• Ability to manage CVICU patients and coordinate with surgeons and ICU staff.
• Willingness to work overnights and three shifts weekly.

Responsibilities

• Rounding and ongoing assessment of CVICU cardiac surgery patients during the night shift.
• Conduct thorough patient handoffs to ensure 24/7 care and participate in morning rounds.
• Evaluate deteriorating patients (CVSD) and respond promptly to concerns.
• Write/initiate post-operative orders after OR arrival handoffs.
• Work independently overnight while collaborating with surgeons, nursing staff, and hospital operations.

Job Summary:

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their growing cardiac team.

Qualified Candidates:

• Provide CVICU rounding and ongoing patient assessment and management for cardiac surgery patients during the night shift; 6:30 pm - 8:00 am; three shifts weekly.
• Complete thorough patient handoffs to enable true 24/7 care of cardiac surgery patients; participate in morning rounds with surgeon and critical care team.
• Perform OR arrival handoffs for open-heart patients and write/initiate post-operative orders.
• Evaluate deteriorating patients (CVSD evaluation) and respond promptly to clinical concerns.
• Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating effectively with surgeons, critical care teams, nursing staff, and hospital operations.
• Demonstrated cardiac surgery / CVICU experience; 2 years preferred.
