HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their growing cardiac team in Kissimmee, FL. The role focuses on overnight CVICU care for cardiac surgery patients, including rounds, patient assessments, and post-operative orders.

Ideal candidates will have CVICU experience with a preference for 2 years, and a demonstrated ability to work independently overnight while coordinating with surgeons and critical care staff.

• Strong handoff and communication skills for 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough patient handoffs to enable 24/7 care and participate in rounds with surgeon and ICU team.
• Perform OR arrival handoffs for open-heart patients and initiate post-operative orders.

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their growing cardiac team.

Qualified Candidates:

• Provide CVICU rounding and ongoing patient assessment and management for cardiac surgery patients during the night shift; 6:30 pm – 8:00 am; three shifts weekly.
• Complete thorough patient handoffs to enable true 24/7 care of cardiac surgery patients; participate in morning rounds with surgeon and critical care team.
• Perform OR arrival handoffs for open-heart patients and write/initiate post-operative orders.
• Evaluate deteriorating patients (CVSD evaluation) and respond promptly to clinical concerns.
• Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating effectively with surgeons, critical care teams, nursing staff, and hospital operations.
• Demonstrated cardiac surgery / CVICU experience; 2 years preferred.
