Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the cardiac team for the overnight shift. The role involves CVICU rounding, patient assessment, and post-operative management for open-heart patients.

Responsibilities include thorough handoffs for 24/7 care, morning rounds with surgeons and critical care, and writing post-operative orders. 2 years CVICU/cardiac surgery experience preferred; night-shift independence is essential.

Qualifications

• CVICU/Cardiac surgery experience preferred.
• Overnight/ night-shift critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to provide high-level postoperative care and orders.

• Complete thorough patient handoffs to enable 24/7 care and participate in morning rounds with surgeon and critical care team.
• Perform OR arrival handoffs for open-heart patients and initiate post-operative orders.
• Evaluate deteriorating patients (CVICU) and respond promptly to clinical concerns.
• Work independently overnight while collaborating with surgeons, critical care, nursing, and operations.
• Demonstrated cardiac surgery/CVICU experience; 2 years preferred.

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their growing cardiac team.

Qualified Candidates:

• Provide CVICU rounding and ongoing patient assessment and management for cardiac surgery patients during the night shift; 6:30 pm – 8:00 am; three shifts weekly.
• Complete thorough patient handoffs to enable true 24/7 care of cardiac surgery patients; participate in morning rounds with surgeon and critical care team.
• Perform OR arrival handoffs for open-heart patients and write/initiate post-operative orders.
• Evaluate deteriorating patients (CVSD evaluation) and respond promptly to clinical concerns.
• Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating effectively with surgeons, critical care teams, nursing staff, and hospital operations.
• Demonstrated cardiac surgery / CVICU experience; 2 years preferred.
