Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, PRN Cardiovascular Specialist for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab-B. You will perform technical and patient care functions during diagnostic and interventional procedures and may serve as lead, ensuring patient safety and compliance with policies.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in nursing or radiology, BLS with 14 days, ACLS, and relevant cardiovascular credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing or radiology or allied health program graduate.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire/transfer and prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS and Radiologic Technologist Certificate (RT) or equivalent such as EMT/Paramedic/RRT.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical and patient care functions during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology labs.
• Monitors and maintains equipment.
• May serve in the role of charge or lead.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree in either nursing or radiology, or a graduate of an allied health accredited program, including EMTs, Paramedics, or Respiratory Therapists.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS; Radiologic Technologist Certificate (RT), EMT, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Radiology Tech or EMT-Paramedic.
• One (1) year of previous job-related experience. Clinical educational experience may be substituted for work experience.
• Advanced credentialing in cardiovascular and electrophysiology is strongly recommended. RCIS, RCES, RCVT, ARRT(RT(R)), CV, CI, or VI.
