Cardiovascular Sonography Clinical Coordinator/Instructor

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and develop program and course‑specific college catalog entries and revisions.
- Plan and develop program policies and procedures.
- Plan and develop program student learning outcomes.
- Ensure syllabi reflect Fletcher’s catalog, policies, and procedures as well as student learning outcomes.
- Ensure courses in LMS meet minimal standards of excellence.
- Ensure course content reflects program advisory committee standards as advised through annual program advisory committee input.
- Review curriculum revision and development.
- Review programmatic accreditation compliance.
- Oversee internships and other programmatic requirements.
- Involve and coordinate with program advisory committees.
- Require a 9‑month contracted commitment.
Program Coordinator Duties
- Maintain program statistics required by any boards and accreditation bodies.
- Coordinate with Director to schedule faculty for courses prior to each semester.
- Schedule all courses prior to the beginning of each semester.
- Track student payments and adjust cohort numbers after each semester (if applicable).
- Maintain communications with the Director, faculty, students, and clinical sites.
- Assist the Director to create a learning environment in which all students are treated equitably and with respect.
- Attend regular faculty meetings.
- Monitor and maintain student attendance records; report any issues to the Director.
- Maintain records of course syllabi, exams, and clinical paperwork per record retention schedule.
- Maintain records of all student files including admission evaluation forms, certification examination pass rates, and transcripts (if applicable).
- Oversee the performance and teaching of safety issues in the program.
- Assist in organizing student orientation sessions and preparing essential paperwork (if applicable).
- Collaborate with Director to ensure consistency with other programs for transitions from the practical nursing program to ASN (if applicable).
- Monitor the clinical requirement of each student before entry into the clinical setting and report any delinquencies.
- Coordinate clinical education assignments and provide administration, organization, and supervision of student clinical experiences (if applicable).
- Monitor students’ academic records and report delinquencies to the Director.
- Develop, monitor, and follow up on the annual systematic plan of evaluation and reports.
- Advise students, complete forms and transcripts as appropriate.
- Assist graduating students with board paperwork and plan pinning ceremony (if applicable).
- Develop and monitor plan program outcome assessment.
- Maintain flexibility to schedule advising sessions in the program area.
- Be onsite where the program is conducted at least 50% of the time (includes classroom, lecture, and clinical instruction).
- Work alongside instructors to provide students with appropriate classroom/lab sessions.
- Provide assistance in lab setting as needed to ensure quality experiences.
- Attend and participate in scheduled activities including graduation, open house/recruiting events, advising during registration, tutoring, seminars, college in‑service, and required meetings.
- Complete all training for Fletcher or LCTC in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director, Dean, or Vice‑Chancellor.
Division Specific Duties
- Teach assigned courses as facilitator of learning and manager of information for students.
- Participate in efforts to consistently improve student success and facilitate critical thinking for clinical experiences.
- Show flexibility with teaching schedule in relation to curriculum revisions and changes.
- Be adaptable to schedule/load adjustments based on enrollment, accountable for a forty‑hour workweek, including instructional responsibilities, planning, and meetings.
Required Education
- Associate’s degree awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
- Hold a cardiovascular credential in noninvasive vascular studies and/or adult echocardiography.
Required Experience
Two years’ experience in cardiovascular healthcare.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrate clinical and teaching experience.
