The RN will work within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, guiding planning, implementation, evaluation and communication of care for assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Provide leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and available resources.
