Job summary

Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis seeks postdoctoral fellows and research scientist/associate/assistant for projects using mouse models to study human cardiovascular diseases. Candidates should have strong backgrounds in transcriptional regulation, signaling, and noncoding RNAs, with hands-on experience in cell culture, RNA analysis, and ChIP.

The PI has NIH and AHA funding; salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with mouse models relevant to human diseases, preferably cardiovascular disease.
• Strong background in transcriptional regulation/signaling pathways.
• Proficiency with cell culture, RNA analysis, and chromatin immunoprecipitation.
• Experience with genotyping, cloning, western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunohistochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Work with mouse models to study cardiovascular disease mechanisms.
• Perform transcriptional and signaling pathway analyses.
• Carry out molecular biology techniques including ChIP, cloning, and RNA analysis.
• Collaborate with PI and other researchers; contribute to publications.
