Qualifications

• PhD in Nutrition, Health Sciences, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences or related field by start of fellowship.
• Experience in clinical, translational or human subjects research.
• Experience with -omics data, data analysis, bioinformatics tools, and data interpretation.
• Experience applying body composition and physical function assessments in clinical research.
• Commitment to fostering a respectful, professional environment at VCU.

Responsibilities

• 3-year, tailored training program with stipend and tuition reimbursement for a VCU Master’s program or other degree.
• Travel funds to present at scientific conferences and health insurance expense support.
• Engage in cardiovascular disease research including laboratory, translational and clinical projects.
• Contribute to projects on cardiometabolic health, inflammation, and electrophysiology topics; may involve animal or human subjects.
