Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Registry Nurse to manage data for Cardiology/Cardiothoracic surgery registries. You will enter, analyze, and submit data, and prepare reports for stakeholders. The role also includes initiating PI projects based on registry findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of Cardiology experience, Florida nursing licensure, and strong communication skills. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• New hires must have a Florida nursing license (BLS required).
• BSN degree preferred and strongly encouraged.
• 1–2 years of Cardiology experience preferred; CCU/critical care experience valued.
• Experience with registries (NCDR, STS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter, analyze, and submit data for UF Health Cardiology/Cardiothoracic registries.

Responsibilities

The Registry Nurse will be responsible for all aspects of UF Health Cardiology/Cardiothoracic surgery registries, entering data, analyzing data, submitting data, providing reports, meeting with stake holders and keeping them informed of data.

Registry nurse will also be responsible for initiating and performing PI projects based on registry data findings.

Qualifications

Required Education: Associate's degree. Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position.

New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position.

Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.

Preferred Education: BSN

Necessary Skills:

1. Good communication Skills, both written and verbal

2. Computer Literate and proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook E-mail/Calendar

3. Interpersonal skills (public speaking and presentations, meetings and conference calls interaction with other areas and/or units within/outside the hospital.

Required Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida -BLS from the American Heart Association

Required Experience: 1-2 years Cardiology experience Preferred Experience: Critical Care Nursing, CCU (Cardiac Care Unit). Previous experience with registries: NCDR and STS

Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Professional certification preferred
