Job description

Job Title: Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist I PD Variable

Join us at AHMC HealthCare as a Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist I (Part-Time, Variable).

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing radiology procedures efficiently.
  2. Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them on the exam table.
  3. Selecting technique parameters in accordance with ALARA principles.
  4. Reviewing and evaluating digital images for quality and diagnostic adequacy.
  5. Possessing experience in surgical scrub techniques or a minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab and/or interventional procedures, with willingness to train for scrub tech competencies and function as a scrub tech as required.
  6. Using radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations, ensuring safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
  7. Demonstrating excellent communication skills and sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.
  8. Following physician instructions accurately and working effectively within a team.
  9. Transporting patients to/from hospital beds to the Radiology Department, requiring stamina.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  • Pass the ARRT national exam and hold a valid certificate.
  • State Licensed (CRT).
  • Current BCLS certification (AHA).
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Completion of a 12-lead EKG course within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab is required.
  • Cardiovascular technician training with emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring is preferred.
  • Certified Cardiovascular Technician is preferred.
