Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide autonomous, evidence-based patient care in alignment with professional nursing tenets. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and active collaboration with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The Clinical Nurse will apply the nursing process to deliver individualized care, maintain patient safety, and participate in governance and quality improvement efforts within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Recognizes changes in patient status and adjusts the plan of care or escalates to the care team.
• Advocates for patients per the ANA Code of Ethics and supports informed consent.
• Mentors colleagues to advance nursing practice and the profession.
• Precepts students, nurse externs, nurse residents and other care team members.
