Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an RN Outpatient Cardiovascular Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at the Kennestone Hospital campus. You will perform stress testing, rehab exercises, and preventative education under the direction of Nurse Managers and cardiovascular leadership.

The role emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, and patient- and family-centered care in a high-acuity outpatient setting with a Shared Governance framework.

Qualifications

• Requires active nursing license and clinical expertise in cardiovascular care.
• Experience with cardiac stress testing, rehab, and interdisciplinary teams preferred.
• Certification requirements (ACLS, BLS) are required upon hire or as stated in policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac stress testing and rehab.
• Maintain safe environment and monitor patient status; interpret data and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular health and treatment plans.
