Job summary

Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team at a premier hospital in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate will have cardiovascular surgery experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will provide direct patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, monitor vitals, assist with procedures, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular surgery experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
• Monitor and assess patient's vital signs and condition during surgery
• Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and providing supplies to surgeons
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the physician
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Document patient care and communicate any changes in patient's condition to the physician
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
