Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room to join a supportive perioperative team. You will apply aseptic technique, prep for various procedures and ensure patient understanding with timeouts, delivering high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have a nursing degree, an active Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS, and preferably CNOR. Minimum 1 year CVOR experience and BSN are preferred as the hospital offers comprehensive benefits and professional

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with Texas RN within 90 days.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile field using aseptic technique during procedures.
• Assist in prepping areas for different cardiovascular procedures.
• Assess patients before surgery and ensure informed consent and timeout.
• Demonstrate teamwork and accountability within the perioperative team.
