Job summary

Progeny HR Solutions LLC seeks a skilled CVOR Tech Tier 3 to join the cardiovascular OR team. The role supports patient care, equipment and supplies management in the OR, with emphasis on sterile technique and readiness for the surgeon's needs.

The ideal candidate will have CVOR and Open Heart experience, CST or TS-C certification, and BLS certification, with the ability to lead in robotic, joints, neuro/spine, burn and vascular specialties.

Qualifications

• 1+ year CVOR and Open Heart tech experience required (strongly prefer 7 years).
• Lead in Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn and Vascular Surgery.
• Two years prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA or TS-C from NCCT required.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies.
• Care for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients in the 701 Surgery area as needed.
• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.

Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech Tier 3 candidates will have the following job responsibilities:

• The role of the Surgical Technologist III is to assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies. The Surgical Technologist III in 701 Surgery provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
• The surgical technologist in the first scrub role handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• The Surgical Technologist III understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
• The Surgical Technologist III has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
• When the Surgical Technologist III is in the second scrub role they assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors and manipulating the endoscopic camera.

Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech Tier 3 candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• 1+ Years of CVOR and Open Heart Tech experience Required. (Strongly prefer 7 years of CVOR and endovascular/hybrid operating room experience)
• Must be competent to perform as lead in all of the following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn and Vascular Surgery
  • Two years prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided
• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
