Job summary

Mount Sinai Hospital in New York is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for the Cardiovascular Institute to provide patient care on an as-needed basis within a premier academic health system.

The role requires an NP with acute/primary care training and valid RN/NP licenses, plus BCLS/ACLS certifications. You will maintain certification, complete required orientations, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree to provide acute/primary care services.
• Relevant clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Active RN and NP licenses as required by DOH/Office of Professions.
• BCLS/ACLS, NRP and PALS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis.
• Maintains BCLS/ACLS certification and renewal requirements.
• Demonstrates competence in assigned area within position guidelines.
• Completes orientation as coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement and complies with institutional regulations.
• Maintains telephone accessibility and notifies changes in contact information.
• Submits resignation letter at least two weeks before effective date.
