Job summary

UTSouthwestern Medical Center invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow to elucidate molecular mechanisms of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and atrial fibrillation.

The successful candidate will design and perform experiments in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, transcriptomics, and cardiovascular physiology, analyze data, and communicate results in publications and talks.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Experience in cardiovascular research, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry is preferred.
• Strong record of research productivity, including peer‑reviewed publications.
• Curiosity, independence, and enthusiasm for collaborative, rigorous science.

Responsibilities

• Study molecular mechanisms of HFpEF and atrial fibrillation.
• Design and perform experiments in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, transcriptomics, and physiology.
• Analyze data and communicate results in publications and oral presentations.
• Collaborate with other researchers.
