Job summary

Austincc in Grapevine, TX, is seeking an entry level Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, PCI, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures. This role requires adaptability in a fast-paced cardiac lab and collaboration with a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent, RCIS program is preferred, and BLS/ACLS within 30 days. On-call rotation, 4x10s schedule, and a $10,000 sign-on are included.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Graduate of an RCIS-related Technical or Associate program preferred.
• 2 years Cath/EP/Vascular experience preferred; new graduates welcome with credentials.
• BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• Must hold ARRT-R and MRT, or RCIS, or RCES/CEPS/CCDS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, PCI, electrophysiology, and vascular interventions.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, instruments, and procedure rooms.
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to emergent situations.
• Support quality control initiatives through audits and reporting.
• Train and orient new team members to department standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, PCI, electrophysiology, and vascular interventions.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, instruments, and procedure rooms.
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to emergent situations.
• Support daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through audits and reporting.
• Train and orient new team members to department standards and protocols.

Case Types Include:

• Coronary: Cardiac catheterization, PCI, Impella/IABP
• Vascular: Peripheral angiogram, intervention, thrombectomy

Schedule

• Shift: Full-Time, 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• On-Call: 7-8 days per month including one weekend and holidays (STEMI call required, 30-minute response time)
• Holiday and Night Call: Required for emergent procedures

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate degree required (or equivalent 2 years of related work experience)
• Graduate of an accredited RCIS-related Technical or Associate program preferred

Experience:

• 2 years of Cath, EP, or Vascular experience preferred (new graduates welcome with proper credentials)

Certifications/Licenses:

• BLS and ACLS (within 30 days of hire/transfer)

Must hold one of the following:

• ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) and MRT (TX Medical Board), or
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or
• RCES, CEPS, or CCDS credential
