Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a RN Clinical Educator to support the Cardiovascular Invasive (CVIR) department. This part-time role involves 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, regular office hours) and focuses on assessing staff competency and delivering education grounded in theory and clinical practice.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree or BSN with enrollment in a Master’s program, has 2 years of progressive nursing experience (3 months as a preceptor), and is licensed or eligible for

• Education requirement: Master’s Degree or BSN and enrolled in Master’s program at start.
• Experience: 2 years progressive nursing experience; 3 months as a preceptor.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association; Virginia RN licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assesses competency of new nursing staff using system strategies and quality/safety goals.
