Job summary

INHealth's Heart Hospital in Norfolk seeks experienced Cardiac ICU nurses for a high-acuity unit caring for patients after cardiac surgery (CABG, TAVR, transplants, valve procedures). The team manages ventilators, vasoactive drips, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.

Shifts are 3 x 12 hours with days and nights available. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation assistance are offered to support clinical excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Recent cardiac ICU experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in high-acuity cardiac/critical care environments.

Join a nationally recognized Heart Hospital and care for some of the most complex cardiac patients in a high-acuity Cardiac Surgical ICU. This specialized unit provides care for critically ill patients directly following cardiac surgery, including CABG, TAVR, heart transplants, valve procedures, ablations, and other advanced cardiothoracic interventions. Nurses work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team managing ventilators, vasoactive drips, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and mechanical circulatory support devices.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cardiac ICU nurses looking to expand their critical care expertise, including exposure to ECMO and other advanced cardiac therapies, while working in a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Recent Cardiac experience required during Nurse Externship and/or work experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac or critical care environment
