Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cath Lab team in Washington. You will perform interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels, prepare patients, operate advanced radiologic equipment, and contribute data for interpretation.

In this role you will ensure equipment readiness, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of related work experience.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology with one year of work experience in the core level.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire.
• Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification: WA, upon hire or
• Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image per physicians’ direction and protocols.
• Reviews procedure order to determine required materials/supplies.
• Ensures all equipment and instruments are in proper working condition by inspection.
• Sets up/stocks the procedure room with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Cleans procedure room post-procedure to facilitate turnover.
• Inputs data into the imaging modality systems.
