The Dell Medical School in conjunction with Ascension Texas, isseeking an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to bepartof the Institute for Cardiovascular Health. This individualwill work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to servethe growing need of the regional adult population to deliver worldclass adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.
In collaboration with supervising physicians, provides for theexpansion of individualized healthcare services by diagnosing andtreating adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions. The AdvancedPractice Professional (APP) will primarily staff the ICU but willalso cross cover the telemetry ward providing patient-centered,competent, compassionate, and professional care in both out-patientand in-patient settings.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted asappropriate.
$125,000+ depending on qualifications
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position forthe last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, toinclude both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staffwho are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions withoutsupervisor approval.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement Systemof Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours perweek and at least 135 days in length. This position has the optionto elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS,subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135days in length.
A criminal history background check will be required forfinalist(s) under consideration for this position.
