Qualifications

• Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care.
• Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room based Physician Assistants will primarily work assisting in the cardiovascular operating room. Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs health assessments, screening, and patient care.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
• Participates in orientation and education of staff and students.
• Other related functions as assigned

Education

Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
