Job Description
Jefferson is actively recruiting a part-time Cardiovascular ICU Intensivist at our Abington Hospital location in Abington, PA. The role involves providing evidence-based care for all cardiac critical care patients, including those in cardiology, cardiac surgery, ECMO, shock, and ventricular assist device patients (VADs). The intensivist ensures care is informed by the latest research and best practices, aiming to improve quality metrics for cardiac surgery, acute shock/ECMO/VAD management, and overall cardiac critical care. Responsibilities include direct involvement in ECMO cannulation and management, supported by a dedicated cardiac surgical team. The role also involves teaching and instructing residents and medical students in critical care medicine, overseeing and directing patient care provided by Advanced Practice Providers, participating in administrative duties and committee service when assigned, and participating in call coverage as per departmental standards.Requirements
