Cardiovascular Faculty Surgeon at Penn Presbyterian – Assistant Professor AC Track

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in cardiothoracic surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or foreign equivalent, or be eligible for such certification.

Responsibilities include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as outpatient and operative care of patients with cardiac conditions. We welcome applicants currently practicing adult cardiac surgery or cardiothoracic fellows completing their fellowship by August 2025.

This full-time position is based at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, a full member of the University of Pennsylvania health System. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in clinical care, research, and education, along with service, administration, communication skills, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
