Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ seeks a qualified echocardiography technologist to perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms per IAC standards. The role includes saline/contrast, strain imaging, and basic 3D as needed, with emphasis on safety and patient comfort.

You will document findings accurately, communicate with physicians, and support quality improvement while maintaining equipment and infection control standards. Some weekend or holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Experience in echocardiography (1–3 years) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) per IAC standards.
• Utilize saline and contrast, including strain imaging and basic 3D as applicable.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure safety and comfort.
• Accurately document and report findings in a timely manner.
• Maintain equipment and exam rooms per infection control standards; participate in QA/PI initiatives.
