Job summary

BRCC is seeking a qualified Instructor for Diagnostic Medical Sonography to deliver didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction.

The role includes coordinating clinical education, supervising student experiences, documenting progress, and contributing to curriculum development. A master’s degree and at least two years of clinical experience are required, with a focus on pedagogy and assessment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer.
• Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and educational theories is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
• Provide guidance to students and clinical instructors to optimize learning.
• Carry out duties of a full-time faculty member.
• Develop and implement remediation plans.
• Coordinate clinical education activities and supervise student experiences.
• Oversee scheduling and assignment of students to clinical sites.
• Document student performance and progression toward competence.
• Contribute to curriculum assessment and development.
• Engage in professional development to maintain teaching capabilities.
