Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant specialized in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum tenens assignment in Urbana, Illinois. This role supports a busy CT surgery service with CABG, AVR, MVR, and ECMO cases, including surgical first assisting and EVH.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with rotating weeknight and weekend call. Prior OR experience and perioperative/inpatient rounding are valued, with transportation and housing support provided.

Qualifications

• CABG, AVR, MVR, and ECMO experience required.
• Surgical first assisting and EVH required.
• Perioperative patient care and inpatient rounding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perioperative patient care and inpatient rounding.
• 1–3 surgical cases per day in a cardiovascular/cardiothoracic setting.
• M-F, 7 am–4 pm with rotating weeknight/weekend call.
