Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certified within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required; RCISCath or Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs.
• Operates imaging equipment under physician direction as a scrub tech.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as a circulator, monitors patient status.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab; maintains sterile technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and dosages used.
• Orders supplies for cath lab and manages inventory.
• Post procedure care and hemostasis monitoring.
