Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist physicians with invasive cardiac, peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including pacemaker placement and circulatory support devices. You will support the cath lab team, manage equipment, monitor hemodynamics, and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting with monitoring, calibrating transducers, and maintaining CVIS records.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes specific equipment and sterile tray for each procedure.
• Assists procedure room team with the positioning and preparation of patient monitoring.
• Calibrates and tests transducers for accurate pressure readings.
• Assists physicians throughout diagnostic, and/or all interventional procedures.
• Loads and operates power injector and associated sterile support equipment.
• Maneuvers the table controls for physicians, as requested.
• Calibrates hemodynamic monitoring equipment and analyzes data.
• Assists with vascular access, sheath removal and hemostasis at the access site.
• Performs inventory management and prepares required equipment for procedures.
• Adheres to CVIS standards and radiation safety policies.
