Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks a cardiovascular team member to deliver comprehensive clinical care across cath lab, interventional radiology, and OR hybrid angiography. The role rotates between specialties and applies ALARA standards within scope of care.

Requires radiologic education with ARRT, CCI credentials, CPR/BLS, and ACLS within 1.5 years; prior interventional radiology or critical care experience is preferred. Salary ranges hourly and depends on experience.

Qualifications

• Program graduate in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Experience in interventional/neurInterventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist; CCI Registered Cardiovascular Technologist; CPR/BLS; ACLS within 1.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assists with performing duties related to cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, neuro radiology and OR hybrid angiography.
• Rotates between specialties to meet operational and patient care demands.
• Assesses patient needs during procedures; responds to emergencies; delegates and prioritizes tasks to ensure quality patient care.
• Verifies and tracks procedures, including facility/room, billing, and account verification.
• Collaborates with physicians to provide for patients' specialized needs; notifies team of variances; follows SBAR when applicable.
• Participates in training and support of team members and students as needed.
