Job summary

MUSC Health Heart & Vascular in Columbia is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join a nationally recognized cardiovascular team delivering inpatient and outpatient care. Work alongside cardiologists, surgeons, and APPs while serving a diverse Midlands patient population.

You will practice within a premier heart and vascular program, delivering evidence-based cardiac care in a collaborative setting with strong support for professional growth and a focus on meaningful patient

Qualifications

• APNP/PA with cardiology clinical experience.
• Requires BLS.
• ACLS required for adult inpatient positions.
• DHEC and DEA license applications must be started prior to first day.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats based on history, exam, and tests per practice guidelines.
• Initiates referrals and consults with attending physician or collaborating physician.
• Documents and bills for direct care provided.
• Uses current research and evidence-based decision-making in clinical practice.
• Performs quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research.
• Supports accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities of the organization.
• Demonstrates professional development through active participation in organizations and continuing education.
• Precepts MUSC APP students and facilitates learning for new team members.
