Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Clinical Director to lead APP strategy and department initiatives in the cardiovascular institute. The role focuses on engagement, recruitment, productivity, and retention while mentoring APP leads and collaborating with clinical leadership.

The position requires a master’s degree (nursing or PA), Illinois APN/PA license, MSO privileges, and at least five years of APP leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Illinois license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or as a Physician Assistant.
• Privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO).
• Minimum five years of experience as a licensed advanced practice provider.
• Proven skills in leadership, planning and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced practice skill set and perform APRN/PA duties.
• Provide APP workforce planning and deployment guidance in collaboration with department leadership.
• Develop and oversee APP education programs and collaborate on strategic APP initiatives.
• Support APP practice development, metrics, and quality improvement within the department.
