Responsibilities

• Assist in the cardiothoracic operating room as a room-based Physician Assistant.
• Obtain patient histories and perform assessments; order and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Provide direct treatment and management within prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Counsel patients/families about conditions, options, and resources.
• Document care per specialty standards and participate in staff education.
• Other duties as assigned.
