The Mayo Clinic RN coordinates nursing care, delivers direct patient care, and educates patients and families as part of the continuum of care. The RN supports professional practice and participates in leadership activities as described in the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.

The role includes planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients, with opportunities to mentor and teach.

Qualificações

• RN must hold a current nursing license in good standing.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor clinical staff and participate in quality initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Provide direct patient care and patient education.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and transitions of care.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement activities and committees.
• Delegate patient care appropriately based on acuity and resources.
