About the Clinician's Workday The Physician Associate will provide cardiovascular surgery call coverage and inpatient hospital coverage, working 7-10 days per month in blocks across inpatient and OR settings. Shifts are structured as 12-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 24-hour shifts on weekends, with 24-hour in-house call required throughout the assignment. Clinical responsibilities include first assist capabilities in the OR and vein harvesting procedures utilizing the EVH system (Getinge Vasoview Hemopro 2), as well as night call with emergency surgery response when locum clinicians are present.
