Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Physician Assistant for the CV Surgical Specialty. You will provide direct patient care, have prescriptive authority, and be credentialed and billed as an independent provider by Medicare/Medicaid. You will assist in cardiothoracic/vascular procedures and work under the supervising physician's scope of practice.

The role involves inpatient care, first/second assist in OR, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently licensed to practice as a PA in Texas.
• Maintains NCCPA certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a surgical setting.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients through exams and histories; monitor care.
• Order and evaluate labs and tests to guide treatment.
• Prescribe medications and manage therapies within scope.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with the team.
• Counsel patients and families on procedures, meds, and lifestyle.
• Maintain complete treatment records and coordinate referrals.
• Provide consultation in specialty areas as needed.
• First/second assist in OR for cardiovascular/vascular surgery.
