Job summary

HCA HealthOne Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Specialists (CTSS) in Aurora, CO seeks an experienced cardiovascular surgery Physician Assistant to join a busy team. The role focuses on open and endoscopic vein harvest, sternal closure, and being the first and second assist in cardiothoracic procedures.

The PA will coordinate with attending physicians, maintain relations with care-line services, and share on-call coverage as part of a robust, multi-disciplinary program at HealthONE Aurora.

Qualifications

• Must hold current NCCPA certification.
• No new grads will be considered at this time.
• Experience in open and endoscopic vein harvest, sternal closure.
• Ability to act as first and second assist in cardiothoracic procedures.
• Coordinate between attending physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first and second assist in cardiothoracic procedures.
• Coordinate with attending physicians and team members.
• Establish and maintain relationships with other service lines involved in care delivery.
• Share coverage of cardiac surgery patients and assist with on-call duties.
