Job summary

Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery inpatient APP team. The role includes independent practice as a cardiothoracic PA with in-OR first assisting, vein/artery harvesting, and critical care for pre- and post-operative CT surgery patients.

Collaboration with surgical colleagues is essential. 2+ years APP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program is required.
• Licensed as Physician Assistant in Michigan at hire.
• PA-C certification (NCCPA) required at hire.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist in the operating room for cardiothoracic procedures.
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting.
• Deliver critical care management and general medical care pre- and post-operatively.
• Collaborate with physicians in a team-based care model.

Education

Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies

PA license - STATE_MI

PA-C certification (NCCPA)

BLS (Basic Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
